Skipper Wants Rapid Response

Max Fricke says his team have “everything to gain” from a big performance at the Adrian Flux Arena on Wednesday, August 8 and is determined to see the best of his side on the road.

The Rentruck Aces had to settle for second-best in Manchester on Monday after being pipped to the post by the Tru Plant Stars in an epic last-heat decider at the National Speedway Stadium.

But with the play offs looming and time running out, every point is becoming more critical and the skipper is looking for results away from home to make the difference in Belle Vue’s title bid.

Fricke said: "To have the opportunity to go to King’s Lynn so soon after Monday’s meeting should be a huge incentive for us to go there and put in a big performance, because that’s what we need.

“We don’t have that many home fixtures left, which means we need to be focusing on our form away from home and working on getting as many points as we can from those meetings.

“We saw some promising signs from Mark [Riss] and I think, once he’s settled in, he’ll be a great addition to the team but it’s his experience of Premiership tracks we need to make good use of.

“We’ve had a good run at King’s Lynn already this season so the potential is there for us to be a threat, and I think we’re very capable of being so. We’ve nothing to lose by going all-out.”

The Rentruck Aces travel to the Adrian Flux Arena on August 8 before heading to Leicester on August 13, while the Cool Running Colts return to action at home on Wednesday August 15.

Tickets for the National League home fixture are now available online at and at the stadium box office on race night.
