Returning Belle Vue Ace Kenneth Bjerre says team work is at the heart of the new-look Rentruck Aces septet and could provide the key to their ongoing efforts in their Premiership campaign.
The Danish international was disappointed to be left out of the club’s team-building plans in 2018 but made the perfect start to the new year with a full 15-point maximum at Peterborough last week.
He hopes to “recapture the enjoyment of coming to work” at the National Speedway Stadium and is confident he can put his affinity for the Mancunian circuit to good use once again.
He said: ‘I’m very happy to be back at Belle Vue. I was gutted not to be in the team last year but that’s all part of the game. I’m looking forward to the new season and I can’t wait to begin.
“I had some good meetings here on the occasions I was able to ride. I really enjoy coming to work here so hopefully it will be just as much fun as I remember being a full-time home rider again.
“We’ve a solid group of guys at the core of this team and two gifted rookies at reserve, who we know are capable of big things, so I think this is going to be a good year for this team.
“There’s a real sense of unity between the boys. Everyone is helping everyone and pitching in where they need to. There’s a strong sense of team work and I think that will be the key for us.”
The Rentruck Aces take a 6-point advantage into the second leg of their Premiership Supporters’ Cup clash with the Panthers on Wednesday, April 10 as they target the win in their first home meeting.
Tickets are available on the night at the stadium, or online at www.bellevue-speedway.com.
