Belle Vue commence their Premiership league campaign this Thursday, April 18 against newly-promoted Ipswich where they hope to keep their great momentum going at Foxhall Stadium.
The Rentruck Aces have enjoyed a tremendous start to their season, taking the win at the East of England Showground against Peterborough before repeating that awesome feat in Manchester.
They hope to summon an encore as they open their league title pursuit against a powerful Witches side who, bar one defeat at King’s Lynn, were undefeated in their first three meetings of the year.
The Rentruck Aces are looking forward to making the trip to Suffolk, says Kenneth Bjerre, but that the whole team will need to put in the laps if they hope to secure the win against the Witches.
He said: “It’s been a few years since we went to Ipswich, so it’ll be good to see the place again. It’s a tough track for an away team but I think we’ve got a good chance of picking up some points.
“They have a solid team and have made a good start to the season. But we’ve put in two strong performances so far and the boys are starting to fire as a team, so it should be a good meeting.
“Starting things off with a win was a must for us. It’s been a real confidence-booster, especially to have an away win under our belt, but now we have to focus and make every heat count.”
The Easter weekend kicks off on Friday, April 19 at Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium when the Belle Vue ‘Cool Running’ Colts take on the Stoke Potters in the National League. Tapes up 1pm.
Then, the Rentruck Aces round off the bank holiday at home with their next Premiership Supporters’ Cup opponent the Wolverhampton Wolves on Monday, April 22. Tapes up at 12pm.
Tickets for both home fixtures are now available at www.bellevue-speedway.com and at the stadium box office on race day.
