Premiership leaders Belle Vue face one of their toughest assignments in Manchester when third-placed Poole make the journey north on July 1, where it will be a must-win situation.
Six of the seven top flight clubs are in action on Monday night, two of which are only a handful of points behind the Rentruck Aces who are battling to hold onto the coveted top spot.
Ipswich are but a mere 2 points behind them while the Pirates trail by only 3, and a win for either of these sides could knock Belle Vue down to third spot in one fell swoop if they fail to reign supreme.
But Poole face a massive challenge without three of their regular riders, with Nico Covatti and Richie Worrall injured, and Nicolaj B. Jakobsen on a mandatory 7-day suspension after being signed off ill.
Luke Becker and Jye Etheridge have been summoned to deputise for Covatti and Jakobsen respectively, while Rider Replacement will be in effect for the elder Worrall twin at No.2.
The Rentruck Aces, meanwhile, remain at full strength, with Jaimon Lidsey moving up to No.2 to accommodate new signing Tero Aarnio at No.7, while Dimitri Bergé moves back to reserve.
Team boss Mark lemon said: “There are no guarantees on Monday. Poole may be patched up due to last week’s crash, but they have some good guests who have proven themselves around our track.
“The boys would be wise to exercise caution against the Pirates. They are a good team who aren’t known to be quitters so we will need to stay on top of our game just as much as they will.
“We’re in a good position but other clubs are starting to catch up to us now. This is a competitive league that we cannot afford any slip-ups, especially at home where we need to be at our best.”
Tickets are available at the stadium box office on race night, with each purchase including a £5 off voucher for any future league meeting of choice, or online at www.bellevue-speedway.com.
