It’s another vital Premiership clash for Belle Vue on August 19 when they welcome Wolverhampton to the National Speedway Stadium, and they’re keen to keep up their positive momentum.
The Rentruck Aces wowed the crowds during last week’s epic battle with the Swindon Robins, from which they took at significant 48-42 win, plus three league points to keep them in the top four.
But with the Wolves closing in on the play off threshold, and King’s Lynn facing Peterborough the same night, there is no greater motivation to ensure both a big victory and make a bold statement.
Nikolaj Busk Jacobsen impressed comprehensively on his home debut and won over the home supporters with a legendary 5-1 performance in Heat 12 when he teamed up with Dan Bewley.
And he’s keen to build on that progress, as the team prepare to leave it all on the track, saying: “It was a good meeting; me and Tobiasz were passing and re-passing so it was pretty good. I’m happy.
“I progressed throughout the night and got better as time went on, so I was happy. I was really happy to get the second place in Heat 12, and the 5-1 with Dan, after all the hard work.
“I’m excited for our next meeting against Wolves. They’ve got a good team and they like this track so hopefully we’ll have another good meeting which, hopefully, we will come away with the win.”
The Cool Running Colts also head to Kent on Monday, August 19 as the Rentruck Aces take on Wolves at home, before they then welcome King’s Lynn on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26.
Tickets for both home Premiership fixtures are available at the stadium box office on race night, or in advance online at www.bellevue-speedway.com.
