There’s a National League battle of epic proportions brewing in Kent this Monday, August 19 as third-place Belle Vue travel to Sittingbourne to take on second-place Kent for more league points.
The Cool Running Colts are still in a favourable position in the top four and with matches in hand there is plenty of opportunity to capitalise in the run-up to the end-of-season play offs.
Their previous visit to Sittingbourne ended with an exceptional 43-45 win, but they have unfinished business with the Touch Tec Kings after their recent marginal 44-45 victory in Manchester.
Team boss Graham Goodwin believes his side can repeat their previous performance, stating: “We had a great meeting against Kent when they came to us, but just the wrong result at the end of it.
“We knew we couldn’t afford a repeat of that against Leicester and the boys delivered a big win for us that night, so we need to keep up that momentum when we head down to Sittingbourne.
“Kent are a strong team. They’ve already proved that, but we’ve also proved we’re capable of pulling off a win at their track so if we can repeat that on Monday we can get ourselves a few more points.”
The Rentruck Aces are at home to Wolverhampton on Monday, August 19 before they then welcome the King’s Lynn Stars on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26 when an old friend drops in.
Tickets for both home Premiership fixtures are available at the stadium box office on race night, or in advance online at www.bellevue-speedway.com.
