Your Guide to the Play Offs

It’s a big, big weekend for the Belle Vue Colts as they prepare for their first league title semi-finals since 2017, but how did they get here?

Well, after a super strong and highly consistent league campaign both at home and away, the Cool Running Colts finished second overall in the league table.

Each team has raced 14 league matches throughout the course of the season, and from each meeting they have accumulated points based on their success.

Once all eight teams completed their meetings, the top four highest on points qualified for the 2019 Play Offs and a chance to contest the National League title.

The top four teams race off in two-legged semi-finals, with the aggregate winners of each going head-to-head in a two-legged final to decide the champions.

As Leicester finished top of the National League table, they had the choice of their opponent in the semi-finals. They subsequently chose to face Cradley.

That means the Cool Running Colts will face Kent, first at home on Saturday, September 28 and then away at Sittingbourne on Monday, September 30.
